until friday 04:27
If I can make it through until Friday again If I can fake it 'til this smile feels real When all you see is the outside of me, look deep I'm here somewhere The skies loom heavy now, we can feel the weight overhead The sideways rain again feeds the urge to stay in bed Hide from the storm find some shelter with me If I can keep myself together If I can turn this fear into something concrete, just hold through the year If I can get my act together If I can make it through until Friday again If I can shake this off before the pressure sets in When all you feel is the furthest from free My suffering says there's something wrong here now So get out of bed and do something to relieve this pain from your head Don't binge watch or drive it down just burn it up now And I just wanted to keep things simple Take this fear and turn it to something real To find a way out of my mind To find a way back into light

flawed 02:39
I'm a little flawed, well you know I can't sing and you know I can't cry I'm a little lost, well it's taken me time to figure out why I'm a little sad but you know I'm alright when I'm riding my bike You're a little flawed, yeah you mumble your words and you're quick to say no I'm just like a dog, take me out of the house and I'll feel alright You're a little scared that I'll find a new scent, wander off and move on Found this beauty in the underneath Found this beauty, took so long to be seen Found this beauty and I'm not gonna wander off from here

I'm standing on the shoulders of giants Who blazed this trail before they could see around the bend You mapped these stories lost in time Unearthed past and shaped a future for us Words we were searching for, you found for us What was harder for you made this all easier for me Such a struggle risk it all to carve a space for us Words we were searching for, you found for us Subtle protest, art your weapon, sparring against censorship Carry beliefs on your shoulders, face the heat to force the change Thank you for writing down these words I found, these words I use Thank you for writing these words I feel Patience and Sarah, Tipping the Velvet, Beyond the Pale, Close to Spiderman Words we were searching for you found for us

hold tight 03:47
Hold, hold me close, hold me closer than before, stop the night from falling Love, love me more, love me more than you might know, stop the night from falling, stop the night from falling Pull me from this place I go so far Right here next to you and yet I'm a thousand miles away. Say, "Hold tight, things are going to be alright." Walk on this path alone and the light is falling night is coming Feel where to go, still we don't know, keep pushin' on dear, keep pushin' on Pull me from this place I go so far, Tether me to soil and earth, give me roots to hold on to Say, "Hold tight, things are going to be alright." And the alders are in bloom while the swans make their return Still there's so much left to learn Can I figure this? And the trail forks off ahead I'm in mud up to my knees, still there's so much left to see. Can we figure this? If we hadn't gotten lost, we'd have never found this place If we hadn't gotten lost We can figure this Say, "Hold tight, things are going to be alright."

Watching the colours drain from autumn leaves that slip into the grey that absorbs everything, is it me or are things harder on these days? Still we march our feet toward the sun slipping further out of reach Bury under deeper layers as the geese sound out their escape And leave us here in another dying year How time will bend slowing closer to the end we sink into the deep Every year undefined, every year not like the year before Singing our common sigh of wondering what it is we work towards And just how much is too much to hold? Just how far down will we still go 'til hope springs again? You lift me up, you keep the light on when I'm wandering in the dark And bail me out When the water's rising up towards the clouds Well I'd do the same when the ghosts they come to stay Put on the light to scare them all away Let's wait this weather out
